For Christmas, my best friend sent me a box of presents, and part of the packing material was Styrofoam that to my eye looked like ocean waves. It inspired me to create this piece. First, I used my technique of swirling the paint and mixing it on the canvas. Then, I added the glass "marbles" and painted the Styrofoam pieces green. I didn't like it; I thought it was too much green. My boyfriend said they looked like seagulls to him. I decided he was right, so I painted them brown, and viola! I like it! Painted on stretched canvas. Edges are also painted, so no need for a frame. Painting is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that includes the COA number, title, date and my signature.
