2007 Boone County (AR) Fair and 2007 Northwest Arkansas District Fair
A co-worker came into my office very excited on Tuesday, Sept. 18, and handed me the Fair insert for the Harrison Daily Times, and said I should enter my creations into the County Fair. (They were due at the fairgrounds the next day!) She added that I would be a true Arkansan if I won blue ribbons. So, I entered two paintings, Purple Flower and Red Flower, the necklace from this semi-precious stone set, this jewelry set, this scarf, and seven snowflakes.
I actually won blue ribbons - eight to be exact! - along with four white ribbons.
Pics of my winning entries are below. This honor came with a check for each fair - I won a grand total of $26! (which I promptly spent on more art supplies!)
This painting, Purple Flower, won Third Place in the Boone County Fair and Third Premium in the Northwest Arkansas District Fair.
This painting, Red Flower, won Third Place in the Boone County Fair and Third Premium in the Northwest Arkansas District Fair.
